September 1, 2011 saw hundreds gather at the holy hamlet of Prasanthi Nilayam to celebrate the day dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the favourite deity of thousands pan India and all over the world. And the morning began with melodious devotional hymns and songs presented by the students of Bhagawan's university. The 45-minute offering was a spiritual feast for the devout. It is that day of the year when the Ganesha festival celebrations reach a crescendo before drawing to an end with the devout bidding farewell to their dear elephant-faced Lord. The Ganesha Idols Immersion Ceremony was as always celebrated with gaiety and vibrant spiritual fervour in the evening of September 3, 2011. The centerpiece of this event in Prasanthi Nilayam is the procession of the colourful vehicles made for the Idols by Baba's students.
