janana maraṇa bhaya śōka vidūram |

sakala śāstra nigamāgama sāram ||

śuddha paramahamsa āśrama gītam |

śuka śaunaka kauśika mukha pīṭham ||

Meaning:

Pallavi

Drink the essence of the name Rama, o tongue, drink the essence of the name Rama

Charanam

From the fear of birth and death, it will keep you afar

It is, of all scriptures, Vedas and sciences, the very essence

The pure song, the ascetics of the highest order take refuge in

And was drunk by sages like Śuka Śaunaka and Kauśika.
