The Sai Connect

Sai Sannidhi (Eindhoven, Netherlands)

Swami’s love transcends continents and binds people. This is the story of a bunch of people in Netherlands who were drawn to Swami and led lovingly into a beautiful spiritual journey.

The divine stream of love
It was 23rd November 2016. It was a sunny but bitingly cold day. A handful of devotees wanted to gather and sing bhajans for Swami’s birthday and wanted to form themselves in a group. “ Sai Sannidhi was born. After that first informal bhajan session, many new members joined. I would call them members because when they joined they were neither devotees nor had been to any bhajan session. There was a magnetic force that pulled them in, the vibrations of which were felt by all.

Swami’s Spiritual Glue
A strong bonhomie was created and the group soon became a support group where each member was referred to as a “Sai Sister” which is quite apt as we are all children of Sai Ma. Though we all came from different backgrounds, spoke different languages and even prayed differently didn’t matter. We were like minded in a more spiritual way and integrated harmoniously. Undoubtedly it was Swami’s spiritual glue that bound us all. Attendance at the “monthly residential bhajans” soon grew and we became a bigger group.

Bliss is my form
As almost everyone wanted to share something, we started with “Experience Sharing Sessions” as a parallel activity to the bhajans that filled each one of us with bliss. It was touching to note that each one of us was guided in their own way. We also started with Lalitha Sahasranama chanting and plan to include other chants as well. It is touching to see the working women and young mothers with infants and toddler make an effort to attend these sessions diligently.

Paramam pavitram Baba Vibhutim
It is usually customary to request people who are traveling back home to get Indian stuff but the only demand “Sai Sannidhi” has is “You are going to India. Please get some vibhuti”. Indeed, vibhuti is scarce here. On one such occasion when I ran out of vibhuti, a thought crossed my mind. I have seen vibhuti and honey materialise out of Swami’s portrait back home but here I just have a small postcard image of his in my shrine so maybe it is not possible. Swami read my thoughts. I could see through my windows soft flurries all over pouring like a stream of vibhuti - clear and pristine. Since I decided it was not possible for vibhuti to materialise through a small postcard sized image, he played along too.

Needless to say I received two big packets of vibhuti the very same day by someone who had just been to India. Swami is listening and his wifi is ever on. We all experienced several big and small miracles which can fill several pages. The most powerful miracle we all witnessed as a group was the healing of one of our beloved sai sisters who was quite sick. A week after we all offered group prayers in her house praying and crying our hearts to Swami, we all were overjoyed to see her hale and hearty. All this happened effortlessly. Swami was clearly reading our minds. We also volunteered to be a part of Annadanam Seva in Amsterdam where food is prepared and served to a group of people who suffer isolation and solitude. Right now we are in the path of starting an Annadanam Seva in Eindhoven. The divine will of Bhagwan will steer the project in the right way.

Bal Vikas classes are being conducted in two different locations and we are planning on having bhajan workshops soon with musical instruments to help members learn and practice bhajans. Several big and small projects are on our minds and we seek Swami’s help and guidance as we embark on this beautiful journey.
