You should handle your mind very steadily and slowly and bring it under your control. Never be in a hurry or use force to control the mind. The mind wants to wander and look at many different things, and indulge in various thoughts. In order to control the mind which is after fulfilling worldly and sensuous desires, we substitute the nobler idea of God. If we make the mind think of God, it will gradually turn away from worldly desires. You can also cultivate good company and think of good things. This will also help to wean the mind away.
