The path of devotion is the easiest path of all. It does not call for mastery of the Scriptures, nor even for the performance of rituals and sacrifices. By cultivating love for God, the senses come under natural self-discipline. What matters is practice, not scholarship. One must try and put into practice at least one or two of the things one learns in the spiritual field. The most important goal is to put into practice the doctrine of love. The principle of love is the greatest unifying force, uniting all spiritual practices, all creeds, all the goals of life and all the Scriptures. The foremost path for the spiritual aspirant is that of complete surrender to the Lord.
