When in a helpless state people cry to God lamenting “Oh God, why do you put me to such suffering, anxiety and worry, and test me like this?” God does not give us any pleasure or pain. Whatever you go through is your own making. God is just the postman; He hands over all the covers that are addressed to you. He will deliver anything – card, money order or the covers that are meant for you. Whatever results or effects the contents have on you have nothing to do with the postman. In the same manner, all that you experience is the result of your own actions. They are not given by God. There is something fundamental about pleasure and pain. It is we who have deserved that experience based on our actions done either in this life or in the previous one. In difficult times, pray to God selflessly with a sacred and pure heart for His ‘Special Grace’ to protect and help you.
