Cover Story: The SSS Drinking Water Project |
Vol. 1, Issue 7: December 1st 2003 |
|
|
|
Cover Story: I wish to draw the attention of the Prime Minister to the age-old drinking water problem that is affecting most parts of Rayalaseema, especially the remote villages, where people have to walk several miles to get a pot of drinking water. This needs immediate reversal. Rivers are gifts of God. In rivers like the Krishna and the Godavari, a lot of water is allowed to flow into the sea. There is no point in every State claiming rights over the river waters and quarrelling with each other over riparian rights. The waters of the Krishna and the Tungabhadra rivers can be harnessed to supply much-needed water to Rayalaseema. . ...more.

Cover Story: The Sathya Sai Story |
Vol. 1, Issue 6: November 15th 2003 |
|
|
|
Cover Story: November 23, 1926, is a red-lettered day in the history of mankind. On that day was born in the (then) obscure village of Puttaparthi, a charming young baby boy in the Ratnakara family. None realised then, and indeed for a long time thereafter, that Divinity had incarnated in human form as Ratnakara Venkata Satyanarayana Raju, grandson of Kondama Raju, and son of Pedda Venkama Raju and Easwaramma. The
birth of ordinary mortals is the direct consequence of earlier
lives. The Karma or the track-record of earlier births, i.e., the nature of deeds performed, both good and bad, determine the future Janmas or births. In short, human birth is a Karma Janma (birth that is the consequence of earlier births)... more. |

Cover Story: Temples of Learning and Temple of Healing |
Vol. 1, Issue 5: November 1st 2003 |
|
|
|
Special Issue: Right from the beginning, Baba was dissatisfied with the present educational system. While in the early years He might have given the impression of being preoccupied with rituals, festivals, Vedic learning and the like, He certainly had, even then, a Master Plan for value-based education. We now bring you through words and pictures, the story of Baba's contribution to the world of Education and after that His phenomenal contribution to Healthcare. |

Cover Story: The Sri Sathya Sai Unity Cup |
Vol. 1, Issue 4: October 15th 2003 |
|
|
|
Cover Story: It all started on a day when Sunil Gavaskar and
Alvin Kallicharan were speaking to Bhagavan. Sunil
is, of course, a cricket legend while Kalli is
a test star of distinction, hailing from the West
Indies. Both are Bhagavan's devotees, and have
been coming to Swami for many years. On that day, both of them told Swami, "Baba, we see devotees doing so much for you all the time. We too love you very much and want to serve you. But cricket is our profession, and we cannot obviously serve you like doctors and teachers do... .more. |

the Mother fought the dark forces for nine nights to give

10 days to slay him, achieved an Incarnaztion's purpose
and gave mankind a reason to celebrate…Dussera. People, nation over, sing the praise of Rama, enact the story of His life, burn effigies of evil, and dance for the good upon the earth... more. |

Cover Story: Inauguration of Prashanti Digital Studio |
Vol. 1, Issue 2: September 15th 2003 |
|
|
|
Cover Story: It
was decided that the radio service would be up on Birthday,
2001, and that Swami would inaugurate the service that
morning. All this was fine but no one here knew anything
about broadcasting, and much less digital radio broadcasting
via satellite! But now, we had to know all that and
there was so little time left! That is how He always
tests us; as He says, "Test is taste for God!" We sure know what that means! So
hurriedly a radio team was formed with just two people
to start with, and hardly any equipment dedicated for
this purpose. But living in Prashanti, we know how to
improvise and come up with something or the other in
the last minute. And thus it was on 23.11.2001.... more. |
